ABOUT
PARADISE
VALLEY BUFFALO RANCH
Paradise
Valley Buffalo Ranch is nestled among the scenic hills of the original
family homestead in Clearwater County, Minnesota. Beautiful Clearwater
County is home to famous Itasca State Park, located at the headwaters
of the mighty Mississippi River. Paradise Valley sits just north
of the continental divide at the head of the Clearwater River watershed
which flows to the Red River of the North. In this serene setting,
eagles fly over our pine and mixed hardwood forest and loons call
from the nearby lake.
Our
bison herd now roams on land cleared by hand by Grandfather Hayes
at the turn of the century, protected in the valley even from bitter
northern Minnesota winter winds. Grasses grow tall and lush while
sparkling, clean water flows, nourishing the buffalo well. Visitors
exclaim over the peacefulness of such a lovely place tucked away
just a few miles from the main highway.
Paradise
Valley Buffalo Ranch bison are raised in an all natural environment,
living in harmony with nature year round. Our goal is to keep the
health of our animals a priority. We work with local veterinarians
and animal nutritionists. Feed companies that have done extensive
research in Minnesota, Dakota and Canada have put together our balanced
food ration made up of 100% natural grains, vitamins, and minerals,
and no animal by-products. We practice pasture rotation so our animals
are kept on fresh grasses for better health and parasite control.
These measures assure a healthy product for you and your family.
